Tej Pratap Singh is a social worker ,RTI crusader and A seasoned politician who has been inspired by the life of late social reformist of Indian political movement late Shri Jai Prakash Narayan,popularly known as JP and Lok Nayak . A revolutionary Indian politician, theorist and independence activist who created ripples in Indian political history in mid 70’s.

Inspired by the life of JP, soon Tej Pratap joined Janata Party and followed the footsteps of his political guru in early by taking blessings of the late Indian socialist leader Shri Chandrashekhar who was popularly known as JanaNayak .
Chandrasekhar Ji was a very popular Indian socialist leader who became the prime minister of India .
Tej pratap has been a social worker and was a crusader of truth with his initial years of struggle against capitalists and feudal lords at rural hinterland’s of Buxar in Bihar .

Later during his life ,on the advise of his political guru late. Chandrashekhar ,Tej Pratap was assigned to late Shri Suryadeo Singh who was the local MLA of Janata Party in coal rich belt of Jharia in Dhanbad at Jharkhand.
to strengthen trade unions in coal belt for welfare of coal miners .
Suryadeo singh was the patron of Janata Mazdoor Sangh and under his aegis and mentorship Tej pratap understood the plight of coal miners and fought for their right and well being.

Nowadays, his search for information continues via a more powerful medium: requests under the Right to Information (RTI) Act of 2005, which empowered citizens to demand information from the government, and required officials to provide it within a defined time limit.
Since RTI’s enactment, Tej Pratap has challenged public authorities from the PMO ,Govt Ministry’s ,Defence,educational institutions ,hospitals,municipal corporations, PSU’s diligently following up on his applications at the Central Information Commission (CIC) and distributing the information he receives to the media. Though Tej Pratap is one of many so called “RTI activists”, his petitions have found unrivalled popular resonance.
